The Haul Road is the road that runs from London Road up to the rear of Newhall. Its sole purpose is to provide access to construction trafffic, preventing the need for it to pass through Newhall.

Missing Concrete Barrier

Earlier this week a concerned Newhall resident raised the issue of the missing barrier and access to the Haul Road with both the Newhall Estate Manager and the SHW Senior Property Manager. The concrete barrier was mysteriously moved and they were concerned that this could lead to anti-social behaviour, drug dealing, fly tipping and people using this road as a cut through. At this moment in time, it is unclear who moved the barrier.

Who Manages the Haul Road?

The Haul Road is on Newhall Projects Ltd land, but is currenlty managed by Countryside Homes. It is for the sole use of the developer, to access their construction site and to avoid related traffic passing through Newhall. It is NOT for public traffic.

Getting the Concrete Barrier Replaced?

The missing barrier was reported to SHW on the afternoon of Tuesday, 23.01.24. This issue was raised with Countryside Homes the same day and again in a face to face meeting with them on Wednesday, 24.01.24. Countryside Homes hope to have the barrier back in place as soon as possible.
