Introduction

EV charging has arrived in Newhall! The first phase of EV Charge points have been installed in the car park adjacent to the Newhall Project offices at the junction of Bridge Street and Sparrowhawk Way.

Residents who are unsure of the location of our EV Chargers can use what3words to find them. What3words is a simple and innovative system that divides the world into a grid of three-meter squares, with each square assigned a unique three-word address. This means that residents can simply enter the three-word address of the EV Chargers into their smartphone or other device and be directed straight to them.

Download the Fuuse Charging App

The intuitive Fuuse EV Driver App allows you to discover the Newhall  and other compatible chargers in the area and easily begin, pay for and track the progress of your charging sessions.

You will need to download the Fuuse app from the Google Play (for Android users) or App Store (for iPhone users). You can download the Fuuse Charging App to Access the Newhall EV Chargers below:

Using the Chargers

Once downloaded you can set up your own account in the Fuuse Driver App, but you will need to register with Newhall Projects + SHW to claim your Newhall Residents Charging Discount**. You can access the Newhall EV Chargers immediately using the Public Charging Tariff*:

  1. Simply connect cable to car.
  2. Connect cable to the EO chargepoint.
  3. Scan the QR code, or;
  4. Select chargepoint in the Fuuse App.
  5. The app will ask for a pre-authorisation payment prior to the start of the charge.
  6. Then start the charge.
  7. Once your charge is complete, please move your vehicle as quickly as possible as you may be charged an overstay fee.

Current Charging Tariffs

  • Public Charging*: £0.75pence per kWh and set at this rate to reduce external users and to encourage residents to sign up for the Residents Charging Discount rate.
  • Residents Charging Discount**: £0.45pence per kWh. To apply for residents discount you will need to provide proof of your Newhall address and submit a V5C copy to prove ownership of a vehicle registered at this address.  If your vehicle is leased you can ask your lease company for a PDF of the v5 and/or a letter of authority from the lease company, which shows your connection to the vehicle. You will also need to provide proof of your Newhall address by uploading a utility or service charge bill. All information will be deleted once your application is approved.

Alternatively, you can send an email to community@newhallproject.co.uk to schedule an appointment to visit the Newhall Project Office. We welcome visitors on Tuesday afternoons, as well as all day on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Please allow up to five working days for the discount to be applied to your account.

Pre-Authorisation Fees

  • Pre-Authorisation Fees: A pre-authorisation fee of £25.00 (Residents), or £45 (Public) is applied to your bank account prior to charging. This will be held in the driver’s bank account until the end of the session, when the final session cost will be taken.
  • OverStay Fees: An overstay fee of £10.00 is applied after charging has ended with a 30 minutes grace period, then £2.50 every subsequent 15 minute/s. Our overstay fee is capped at £20.00.
