I have noticed that on the edge of the lindens site there are a few of what I assume are grit containers. In light of the recent snow and ice cold temperatures I am surprised that there has been no co-ordination with opening them and gritting the roads. I do feel there is a high possibility of a risk to life as cars are unable to grip the road.
I do feel that more gritter containers need to be put on each site with access for residents when we experience extreme weather.
Hi Jo, thank you for your comments. The grit storage bins have now been opened and there has been coordination of gritting some of the roads, which has been focused on the main roads and some of the steeper roads in Newhall.
Moving forward we are working ensure that there are more grit storage bins and that we have a coordinated approach to ensure residents, businesses and contractors have access to rock salt when its needed.
