Hi there has been a dumped mattress and bed by the bins in Alexander road for a few weeks now, the dumped pile of furniture is getting bigger as others are dumping stuff there too.

Thank you for your message and for reporting this issue, which has been picked up by our Estate Manager. It is a bit of a problem as flytipping of this kind means that we have to engage a paid service to get it removed. Hopefully you would have noticed that the items have now been removed by our landscaping partners D Honour & Son.
As a follow up we have also run a campaign on our social channels explaining to people how to get rid of Bulky Waste effectively. You can see this on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
Harlow council offer a very affordable bulk refuse collection which is easy to book through Harlow council website, bulk collection is collected on normal collection days by a different team to the regular bin men.
It is a very good service I used them when I first moved to my property.
The fees are:
– 1 to 5 items £28
– 6 to 8 items £43
– 9 to 12 items £63
– 13 to 16 items £83
Ps: I don’t work for Harlow council I would just love to see my fellow neighbours taking pride in where they live….simply no excuse! For flytipping!
